Description
The twin brothers – Ashwani Kumar’s, who were the vaidhya for the devtas in the vedic period first prepared Chyavanprash for the rishi Chyavan – hence the name Chyavanprash. Chyavanprash is a cooked formulation of Honey, Ghee, Sugar, Amla, Sesame oil, Berries and various herbs and spices. It is prepared as per the instructions provided in the Ayurvedic texts.

Chyavanprash is generally consumed directly, with lukewarm water or milk. The main ingredient in Chyavanprash is Amla and may contain various other herbs from 25-80 in number. Because of Amla, Chyavanprash is rich in Vitamin C. It is a very good immunity booster.
