Description
Bhuiamla or Bhumi amla or Tamalaki has the botanical name – Phyllanthus amarus. This palnt is native to India and has many medicinal properties. Bhuiamla is used in Ayurveda mainly for the treatment of diseases related to the liver.
In Africa this plant is used in the treatment of dysentery, jaundice, diarrhea, wounds, ulcers, kidney stones and urogenital diseases.
Bhuiamla has shown clinical efficacy in viral hepatitis B.
